Used to make it easier to complete servings on the wind-on at the point where the leader meets the Dacron or Spectra splice. The leader is stretched from one end of the tool to the other and held in place with the hold-down clamps. Once the leader is set in the jig, it is very simple to wrap with waxed floss or other serving material and to apply glue. This is a bench mounted jig and not meant to be held between the knees.
