If you've never tried crabbin' this way, do yourself a favor, and try it! Using a hand line to catch crab is a true southern tradition. A chicken neck is used for bait, and is threaded onto the hook. Then, off of a shoreline, toss the line out so that the chicken neck and hook are submerged. Once you feel a crab tugging on it, slowly pull the line toward you by rolling the stick. Then, once the hook and crab are close enough, use a bait net (like the Brunken Bait Well Net featured in our Live Well Accessories section) to go underneath the crab and scoop it up. Once you catch enough of the little guys, use on of our Anglers Choice Kits and have yourself a crab boil!
