Thursday, September 27th: Captains meeting at Haddrell’s Point Tackle (Mt. Pleasant location) starting at 7:00 pm.

Saturday, September 29th: Tournament day. Begins at Sunrise and will conclude at sunset.

Sunday, September 30th: Awards/ weigh-in and cookout for tournament. starts at 3:00pm and closes at 6:00pm (Please bring a side or dessert)

General Information:

Cost is $20.00 per angler. Register at either Haddrell’s location by end of business September 25th. Even if you cannot fish please join us for the cookout! We ask for a small donation to help with food costs.

Four division possible to enter: Team, Individual, Youth and Lady. Teams limited to two anglers. Division must be declared at start of tournament. (Youth and Ladies can fish on a team and still collect personal points for youth and lady divisions).


-Tournaments emphasize “catch and release” philosophy.

-Inshore waters only (Demarcation line)

-Only Tidal Waters that are accessible by boat are eligible for points scoring. No impoundments or ponds.

-Results must be posted by 4:30pm on Sunday, at the cookout

-All techniques must conform to generally accepted fly fishing customs. No live or dead bait, No spinning or casting rods, No scent! Artificial FLY ONLY!

-Minimum size for any species is 12 inches.

-Most cumulative point will win.

-Photos of fish must be clear and easy to determine length if applicable and contain the token given at the captains meeting.

-Tournament fishing hours start at sunrise on Saturday and end at sunset. (Exact times are taken from National Weather service).

*Tournament rules are created and upheld by the Tournament committee.

*Tournament subject to cancellation based on the weather, and rescheduled at the discretion of the tournament organizers

Eligible Species:

-Redfish, Trout , Ladyfish, Bluefish, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Shark, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Sheephead, and Black Drum.


1 point: Ladyfish, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel
5 points: Trout, Redfish, Flounder

10 Points: Jacks, Sharks, Sheephead, Black Drum

20 points: Rare Catch (Cobia, Snook, Tripple tail, Pompano)

50 points: Tarpon

Grand Slam Award:

-Grand Slam is a special designation for catching a Redfish, Trout, and Flounder in one tournament day.

-Grand Slam Award will be given to the angler or team that presents their results first at the cookout, it will aslo add a 10 point bonus to the angler’s total point tally

Awards and Cookout:

At Haddrell’s Point Tackle & Supply (Mt. Pleasant location) from cookout from 12pm-6pm on Sunday Sept, 30th. Awards starting around 2:00pm.
