Inshore:reports-scott-holding-flounder-01

Late October has us in the middle of a wide open fall trout bite, and by far the hottest baits thus far this season have been the Zman Slim SwimZ….but trust me there is nothing shady about these slim little baits! Rig on a 1/6oz zman jighead and hang on because these little baits bring a big bite. Sheepshead are still chomping hard on live fiddlers fished around rock piles and bridge pilings, and don’t forget about our ‘Capture The Convict 4’ week sheepshead tourney that is always 100% payout! Redfish continue to be found in schools on the shallow low tide flats aggressively feeding before winter, providing a great time to present a fly or artificial bait in front of a large school of reds. Even flounder are providing great reports currently, with best bets coming around our inlets and creek mouths located near the ocean. Drag a live mud minnow or bucktail jig tipped with a grub along these mouth edges for a flatfish dinner!

Offshore:

Bouncing some bottom numbers this time of year is a must! Huge triggerfish, b-liners, and sea bass have all been found in 75-130ft of water using cut squid and vertical jigs. We even had an 11pound + triggerfish weighed in by the crew of the “Prowess” this weekend! Trolling along the ledge in 150-300ft is still producing some wahoo and blackfin tuna, and don’t be surprised to have a couple sails up in the spread as well.
