Q. What are your store hours?

A. We are open 7-days a week. Currently our hours are: Monday-Wednesday 7am-6pm, Thursday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 6:30am-5:30pm, and Sunday 7am-5pm.

Q. Do you sell bait?

A. Yes, we sell live and frozen bait at both of our locations. We always stock frozen bait; however, our live bait selection is dependent upon availability. If you need bait after hours, you can use our vending machines in the front of our stores.

Q. Do you sell fishing licenses?

A. Yes, we do sell South Carolina fishing licenses at both of our locations. Fishing licenses are paid for in cash or check, and a photo ID or social security number is required. You can also purchase your fishing license online at:

Q. Do you all sell tide charts?

A. Yes, we do have tide charts at both of our locations. We give these out for free, so feel free to come by and pick one up.

Q. What is a "Haddrell's Point"?

A. Historically, Haddrell's Point was a geographical area that extended from Shem Creek to Cove Inlet in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The area was first used as a strategic military battery for troops during the Revolutionary War. Later, the land was used as a ferry landing connecting to the greater Charleston peninsula. The area named as Haddrell's Point would later go on to be known as the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Our store, Haddrell's Point Tackle and Supply, opened in 1983 adjacent to the historic Old Village of Mount Pleasant.

Q. Do I have to purchase from the Web site?

A. No, you can call us at 1-843-881-3644 and we will be happy to process your order over the phone. Our hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Q. How much does shipping cost for my order?

A. Shipping price varies according to the size and shape of the product(s) you ordered. Generally, shipping costs either $3.99, $9.99, or $19.99 per product. You can view the shipping price for every product on the product page.

Q. How long does it take for my order to arrive?

A. We ship most of our orders via USPS mail. Delivery usually occurs 3-5 business days after. We fulfill all pending orders Monday-Friday within 24 hours of order placement.

Q. Will I receive a tracking number?

A. Yes, our orders ship with either USPS or UPS tracking numbers.

Q. Why can't I add a product to the cart?

A. We only sell products we carry in-stock. If you cannot add the item to your cart, it is because we are currently out-of-stock of that item. Please try again later or call us for a special order of that item.

Q. My card was declined during checkout, what does that mean?

A. We use the strictest standards for credit card authorization and authentication for every order. If your card is declined during checkout, it is probably because of a typo you entered for your credit card information or billing address. Please try again or give us a call if you continue to have problems.


Q. What reels do you work on?

A. We are a warranty center for all major reel manufacturers. We do repair work on rods; however, we do not do warranty on rods. We recommend sending warranty rods back to the manufacturer.

Q. What reel parts do you have in stock?

A. Our Shimano Reel Parts and Penn Reel Parts lists contain information about the specific parts we currently have in-stock. If you see a part you want, give us a call and we'll take a phone order for you.

Q. What is repair cost/service cost?

A. Service cost more than repair because we do more to the reel. There is a minimum charge for repairs.

Q. How do I send a reel in?

A. Fill out the General Repairs Request form on our Repairs page.

Q. Do you all have stock parts for brand new reels?

A. No.

Q. What else do you do besides reel repairs?

A. We are a full custom rod and gaff shop. Custom rods and gaffs make great anniversary boat presents.
